TINY TOWN MONTESSORI PRESCHOOL

THEME
We will be talking about SPACE for the next 2 months. We are excited about this theme because generally all the children are interested in it and there is so much to learn about Space. Don’t be surprised if your child comes home wanting to be an astronaut.
PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES
We will be holding our Spring Parent Teacher Conferences on the evening of March 12 for parents that are working during the day, all day March 13 & 14. Please look for sign up sheets and times on the bulletin board.
FAMILIAR FACE IN CLASSROOM
Morning class parents will be seeing Mrs.Taylor in the classroom a couple of times a week until the end of June. Mrs. Taylor is furthering her studies in Montessori and so will be working under Mrs. Javer.
BRAVO EVERYONE !
We would like to thank everyone for bringing in healthy snacks for our Valentine’s Party. WAY TO GO!
HOUSEKEEPNG REMINDER !
We would like to remind parents to ask their children NOT to ring the school door bell while they are outside playing. Also, to please ask the children to NOT run up and down the ramp and knock on the windows. Thanks.
KINDERGARTEN ART CLASSES
Art classes for the kindergarten children are now underway and the children are
just loving them. We will be holding an Art Show at the end of the classes for
everyone to admire.

CLASSROOMS CARE PROJECT
We are participating in a Classrooms Care Project again this year. A donation program run by Scholastic book clubs, the people who send us the monthly book orders. This project allows us to get books to children in need, just by reading. We need to read a class total of 100 books and once we’ve done that, Scholastic will donate 100 books in our honor to a charity organization who help get books to children who don’t have them. As a special thank you, our class will receive a Certificate of Thanks from the charity and Scholastic Book Clubs. The books you and your child read at home count, so please inform a classroom teacher every time your child reads a book at home – either alone or with you – so that we can include it on the classroom poster. “Reading is Giving”, that’s the Classrooms Care motto and we’re excited to be a part of this great program. Help us reach our goal of 100 books so that we can give the gift of reading to others!
